I think I was at the end of the line when talent was dished out for art and music. Love both but can't draw a good stick figure and can only play "Mary had a little lamb" LOL Keep up your gorgeous work so others that can't, can enjoy yours.

To everyone who has such talent: YAY! Boy! am I envious.
Having sewn (with patterns created by others) all my years, I had not tried quilting until these last couple. I'm convinced that you folks with an artistic-eye are the BEST quilters. You "see" something that I do not. Folks like Jenny Doan and all of the internet available videos are opening the door to me. old dog-new things?

I come here so often and I like to post photos of my other hobby. I think some of you check them out and comment occasionally. So here is the latest in my tiny paintings....5" x 7" acrylic on wood. I have not varnished yet...I keep tinkering with it. It might be too small to see well. But I won't be able to delete after a few minutes.

This made me laugh out loud. I also love music and art and am less than average on both! While I have had Organ lessons, I can barely play and I can not paint and draw at all! My dad can play trumpet, arkkordeon and organ, sings in a men's choir and paints as a hobby. My maternal and paternal grandparents all sang in church choirs. My paternal grandmother played the zither and harmonica and painted. I wish the musical gene had been passed down to me. The joke in the family is that my brother and I take after my mother...she is tone deaf lol
