Anyone here have one? It has a rotary cutter attached to a circular ruler. Walmart here has them so I may want one for myself if I don't win.

It makes great circles. However, after cutting a few circles the included small cutter blade gets clogged with threads and has to be cleaned. It is a good gadget if you aren't cutting a lot of circles at one time.

FYI this item sells for $19.95 on Amazon...jet.com shows $28.88. Could be fun to have.

When I was cutting lots of circles out of denim and out of cotton (not at the same time) I used the one with the pin that someone else mentioned (is it from Fiskars?). It would go through 2-3 lays of denim, depending how thick the denim was, and I could get about 6 layers of cotton cut. I made one of those fake cathedral ceiling quilts (using two circles, one cotton and one denim and boy was it heavy).

Having said that, I could never have gotten a ring circle out of the one I used, like it shows in the ad. That would be interesting. But my question is, do I really need to get another notion that will probably just sit in a drawer and be used a few times (or never, sometimes in my case) or would I rather buy fabric?

I rather do both.

I bought one today at Walmart. It rang up $19.97. Then I went to the quilt shop sale and bought ten yards of fabric.

I'm making the Lotus Blossom Pincushion and it takes a lot of fabric circles. I have been using my Go die for the pincushions but wanted to make larger ones then the circle die I have. The large circles make great Lotus pillows. The Lotus cushions of all sizes have been a good seller at my sew group's sale table.

Thanks for the website. How much did you sell the pincushions for? I can see them selling well at a quilt show. Great idea.

Here is the pattern I use. I use the same size circles for each one. It doesn't make that much of a difference.
