How delightful. I have a grandson, so no sewing tuition there! Enjoy yourselves and create!

Elnan, that is such a good idea on the scrapbook, I had not thought of that, and thanks for the advice on the lint logjam, I will keep that in the back of my mind and make sure it stays clean, I don't want anything that will frustrate her about her machine where she doesn't want to use it.

I had to log in just to say your grand daughter is adorable and looks so eager to learn. Give her some small projects to learn with and she will be out sewing you in the near future! Haha.

Thats so great you are helping her sew. I think a lot of us have learned to sew when we were young, and have continued to enjoy sewing throughout our lives.

How sweet!! She will always remember sewing with you and the memories you will both create! And she has a priceless smile!

She is so cute and lucky to have such a nice Grandma.
What model of Janome machine did you find? Looks like a nice machine for $17.00.

That's great, my grandchildren have little interest in sewing - the 10 year old a little bit. My oldest granddaughter is 17, and her middle name is Delaney - not something you hear much of! Glad your's is wanting to sew.
