Looking for particular site for finishing binding
I have real trouble finishing binding...That is, sewing the two ends together so they come out right.
I found a site that made perfect sense to me and I thought I had it bookmarked, but now can't find it! I'm wondering if anyone here knows of it.
The site features a man who uses two pieces of fabric as examples of how to finish the ends. I think he says he is an engineer and he figured out this easy way because his wife was always having trouble with it. It isn't a quilting website.
Anyhow, if anyone ever runs across this I'd love to have the link because it was a super easy way for me to understand how to finish off the binding. I always get them twisted.
Thanks, Watson

So the man in the video was doing the demo? Was it for the entire binding, or just how to join ends? I did a search on Youtube and found the following videos that have a man demo'ing binding, but don't know if either are the one you are looking for. I think each one of these men has other binding videos on Youtube as well.

I use the same method that LoriEl posted with a tutorial. I would just suggest to you that you DO NOT trim off the ends where you joined the 2 binding pieces until you have checked to make sure they will lie correct on your quilt. It may just be me & the way my mind works (or doesn't work) but I have trouble making sure the two pieces of binding and placed together correctly before sewing them diagonally.

Thanks so much for posting this. The tutorial Watson was looking for is the most straight forward way I've ever seen on how to figure out how to sew the ends together. I know to cut the overlap the width of the binding, but then I have to consult one of my books to see how to join the ends. I always pin first because I often somehow get a twist in the binding... I will use this method from now on!
