What a wonderful quilt. Good job on your first quilt. Can't wait to see pictures of your next projects.

Thank you everyone, for all the kind words. My first post here was to ask about thread color, and I got so much guidance on things I hadn't even considered yet. I had read blogs, and watched videos, but nothing was as valuable as the tips offered by the members of this forum. I'm in the planning stage for my next project, so I'm sure I'll be leaning on you all again soon.

I love illusion quilts! I'm not much of a modern quilt person except for this pattern. Great work with the linear quilting, really keeps the feel of the topic. And love the patterns within the patterns. You did quite a bit of planning with the fabrics. Great job, I'm sure he'll absolutely treasure it!

What a good job you did! He'll grab it first should he have to evacuate!

How cool is that?!!! He'll love it! DH would love it too, he's a fan! I could never understand how he can watch that and go right to sleep afterwards. It was challenging for me to fall asleep to with all the sound effects! A very nice quilt for being your first!
