Default Help looking for guild challenge

Somewhere on line I read about a challenge using your high school colors (or college). I have searched and searched. Now when I need it, I can't find it. Might any of you remember the details of it or know where I saw it. Thank you soooo much.

Don't know, but I did find this book on quilt challenges
https://www.amazon.com/Quilt-Challen.../dp/1564779114
used copies are inexpensive, but read the reviews before you decide.
I'm guessing that you can use any challenge that specifies a block and just tell the members to use their school colors. The schoolhouse block might be a good one to pick:

Great idea ... PaperPrincess!!

It's an interesting idea and I agree, you could go with any parameters. The colour scheme certainly does not dictate the project!

Nakuna ... Something you may want to consider ..... as it could be a touchy issue,
if some have not graduated (or gone?) to high school or college.
Or perhaps do not want to reminisce about that part of their past.

Just a thought ........

A color challenge we did at guild, was to draw paint chip cards from a bag and make a table runner or topper using those colors.

I think the funnest one we did, was to have a magazine for everyone who is participating -- doesn't have to be a quilting magazine. Then draw a page number out of a bag. Then the participant has to make a quilt around whatever is on that page in their magazine.

I have enough challenges. They are called UFOs! Commit to finishing one or two each year.

I['m with Illinois, the best challenges we've had have been the ones where you complete something you have already started. But it had to be over a year in the waiting. Each person writes down what they want to complete and has a set time to get it done. Handy and productive.

There was a group on here doing the quilt challenge book that Parerprincess mentioned. Maybe you could get some ideas there. Maybe last year, I can't remember when it was. This year my guild did a challenge where you made a wall hanging inspired by a favorite greeting card. I am working on it now. Not too sure I like how it is coming out. Another challenge we did was everyone got a half of a FQ of some ugly fabric and had to use at least half of it in a wall hanging. At first some members insisted I didn't use enough in mine, I used some of the back of the ugly fabric. Last year the challenge was to make a snowman, it didn't have to be a quilt or even made of fabric.

Great ideas ladies. I like the magazine page and the build a snowman. Thank you all for your great ideas. I knew I could count on you all to come up with something.
