    Default You've Got Mail Quilt in Blues

    Last year I made and posted one of these done in browns. This is a lap robe done in blues. It is hard to see in my picture, but the background is a soft blue print, which I also use as the backing. The tutorial for this pattern comes from Missouri Star. I have attached the piano key border using QAYG (not on the Missouri Star tutorial). I find that adding the borders after quilting gives a nice reduction in size for the main quilting and makes it easier to manage for me.

    These are fun to make, but I am challenged by so much bias, and my points are not clean.

    I forgot to mention that I used 8" squares instead of layer cakes for the piecing. Jenny also has a tutorial called "Love Notes" that uses smaller squares -- I think it is charms. That makes for a very attractive more dainty design.
