Quite a few of my sewing friends like to make yo yos but then do not know what to do with them, I willingly take them off their hands. I cut out a piece of fabric, say 6" x 8", applique the yo yos to this piece to fill it, then add strips of other fabrics to build up to a size I can use for example a shopping bag, cushion cover etc. I run a raffle at my sewing guild and these pieces make very acceptable prizes. Jut an idea.

Great idea for handwork when I am on the go. I like your idea of appliqueing the yo-yos to background squares and then creating projecst from the squares.

Thank you all for your wonderful ideas!

I don't make them much as they are too time consuming. However, my sister-in-law loves to make them as she sits at night and watches TV. She
has made beautiful quilts and pillows by just sewing them together in rows. Some of hers she just made out of 2-3 fabrics and put them together in a pattern. She has made them for up to a queen size bed.
