    I think the younger set thought they were tacky and renamed them Ugly sweaters. Personally, I love almost all of them!

    Agree, the college age came up with the idea and it took off from there.

    Well, as elementary school teachers, back in the day, we all had all kinds of tacky Holiday clothing and sometimes we'd even have contests for the best outfit.
