    Default These Diamonds Took Forever

I cut out hundreds of diamonds back in 1974, and sewed some into stars. They sat in a box until two years ago. I joined a quilting guild a few years ago, and finally got it out and finished it for my 32 year old daughter for Christmas. I did "Quilt as You Go" method going with info from the Gourmet Quilter. The four corners are hearts with various machine embroidery stitches. I am so glad it is done.

Your stars are lovely! So glad to see another ( old) UFO finished up -- they are always so worth it when finished! Makes me wonder why it takes us so long sometimes.
I bet your daughter is thrilled

Wow, you may hold the record for the longest span from start to finish! Lovely quilt.

For being started in the 70s, the colors and fabrics really work in this setting. Kudos for finishing (and yes, for probably holding the record of longest-held UFO-finally-finished).
