I really like your color scheme, NZQuilter, and your yellow print is just perfect.

NZ - have been torn about the yellow blocks. And you have the perfect solution, a busy little print looks great, and I think I am going to try and find something and do all the blocks the same. Love your layout.

Carol and Kassaundra, love your quilts.

NZ, I love your version. The circle effect as well as the diamond pattern sash strips--switching out the Hourglass units for the tri rec units made a big difference!

I agree. It's really kind of unbelievable (and wonderful).

Thanks for all the kind comments When I very first started I didn't like my colors at all, but now I do!
Judy, my yellow print was something I've had since 2009. I bought 3 meters of it back in New Zealand and I've been dragging it around with me since! A little bit has gone into each quilt. When my sister came to visit earlier last year, she saw it on the shelf and said, " What, you still have that stuff? Gee, what are you going to do with it?" Save it for something 'special' ... And now, even after En Provence, I still have some of it! Sometimes I feel like it's the yardage that won't go away!

So here's mine, one block laid out as per instructions

And here it is after one change

Instead of the 4-patch in the centre of the sashing, I've substituted a QST, it'll separate the green circles slightly more. I'm hesitating slightly over the star centres, I feel they're just a bit bright and compete with the 'daggers' somewhat.

Well, I've got all day to mull it over before stitching anything together, lol.

NZQuilter I love your design...can I copy you? I've decided to make mine much smaller so I can possibly match some of my neutrals to make it less busy as well as replacing the yellow with a small print like you did. I'm starting to feel much better about this adventure. Thank you ladies for all the positive feedback and encouraging words. I love it when a plan comes together!
