Carrot (Karen), when you subscribe to a thread by clicking on Thread Tools, there is a "notification" section where you can choose to receive emails instance, daily, weekly, etc. The default is set for "control panel only" so you need to click on the drop down arrow on the right side and choose how you want to receive notifications.

We need a "Like" button on here. I'm a firm believer that attitude has everything to do with how well a chemo patient does. My ECA group makes chemo caps for our local hospital. I love giving them whatever comfort I can.

Chemo caps sounds interesting, how are they made and what are they made off. Wonder if our local hospital would be interested in something like that. Have to google, love the idea of helping.

We make them from fleece or any knit fabric, something soft and warm. You can find any number of free patterns online for different ones. Our Oncology Dept. really does appreciate them for the patients. We also make underarm breast cancer pillows which are used by male and female patients. Lap quilts are also much appreciated. I'm all for anything that will give the patients some comfort.
I would start by going to your local Oncology Dept. head and talking to someone in the office as to their requirements and protocol.

Thank you very much, I truly appreciate you answering my questions. Great idea, worth putting to practice. XX

Petuniaflowers: I love the holiday colors and those little candy canes. This will be a great quilt at the end of the year! I'm going to get off the computer and start cutting up my fabric!

One of the many things I like about this "bee" is how little time it takes to make one block. I don't feel rushed to get it done and that has resulted in the blocks being much more accurate.

I'm so glad to see everyone enjoying this way of doing the blocks. I thought it a bit different than exchanging blocks, and sometimes you receive a block, or sometimes not. This is a good way to collect blocks, or mix them with others, sash them, set them on point, make mug rugs, table runners, or just keep..

Keep chatting and posting the pictures, it's 'eye-candy' for sure.
