    Beautiful dress and I agree with the rest that the socks are quite a colorful embellisment. LOL What an honor to be able to make the wedding dress.

    Both are beautiful ... but why not wear your original?

    Whatever will you do with the "practice" dress? ... it's incredible!

    How about wearing one for the ceremony, and the other for the reception and party?

    This is a practice dress because she has another style in mind. I bought the silk and did not have enough yardage to make the one she wants, a long one. I can't fit into either of them. She is not thrilled with the style of the dress, but likes the quilting. She wants more lace, lots of lace and sleeves. Will find another pattern to use.
    I did send a photo to Superior as well because they should know how well their thread works.

    Oh what a shame that she doesn't really like the style; hope she doesn't change her mind half-way through your effort to find another one. Good luck with it.
