When I go to Paducah quilt show I don't buy notions at Hancock's. The vendors have all the fun stuff.

[QUOTE=Snooze2978;7764329]Sounds great but I just replaced my main cutting mat for a self

Just out of curiosity, I noticed at the bottom of your post that you have a Designer EPIC. How do you like it? I also have one but shortly after I bought it my hubby got quite ill & between hospital visits & going out of town for major
surgery, it kind of got forgotten about. Am just now getting back to it & so far am pretty impressed. I haven't even gotten close to trying ALL the things that it does. Just wanted to know what your opinion is of the EPIC ??

The pictures look very similar to the Olfa Frosted rulers, just bit different sized. Anyone have both to compare?

I have both creative grids and the quilter's select rulers. I prefer quilter's select, it does grip better. Watch video about the 'trick" she shows near the end, for the difference http://quiltersselect.com/video-gallery.php

I have a few Frosted rulers. They are fine rulers and I will keep them. Quilters Select are frosted too, and grips all the fabric that touches the ruler, not just in spots.
