Far be it from me to make any meaningful comment on your beautiful artistry. I admire your beautiful fabric art. However, maybe if you feel hesitant, maybe you could paint a larger piece of fabric than you plan to use and use some of it to 'experiment'. If you like the result you can incorporate the result. If not, you have another idea for the next project.
