I freeze the sliced loaf in one bag and snap off a slice or two or four when I want them. Sometimes I need to poke the tip of a knife into a space between the slices and twist it to make the slices snap apart.

I'm on my 2nd Zojirushi, I love it. You can do so much more than make bread in it. Even though I haven't made any in several years. Even King Arthur's website likes this machine, that says a lot because King Arthur is at the top when it comes to bread making, etc

Nothing smells better than bread baking. The bread makers are hard to find and prices have gone through the roof. I often just use the dough cycle to save my arthritic hands for quilting. I picked up a replacement identical to mine (baking sensor not working properly) at a thrift store this fall. Looked like it hadn't been used more than a couple of times. Works like a charm. Mine were made by Rival.
You can check E-Bay but it will be expensive shipping.
