my butterfly quilt in progress, I am working on the borders tonight.
the four patch will be on the bottom and the top, plus the 3 color stips, the sides will be getting just purple, yellow and green strip border.
at least that is my plan, will look at it some more as I add on......

this is how far I got last night, I am short of the pink and green material, will need to go to the LQS, and only today, when posting this picture I have notice 'a mistake' that needs to be corrected

Well, Miss Allie, I can't see the mistakes and I think I counted every square! However, I know that true craftmanship sees what others may not notice and you are showing a good amount of personal integrity by fixing what you know is a mistake. Good job!
So, now ... is this a second quilt you are making of the butterfly? I thought the first two pictures were completed quilts ... the butterfly is a great pattern! <wave>

hi, I hate to be a pest, but it was Allie who posted her original, beautiful butterfly quilt a couple of weeks ago, and here it is me, mtkoldra, trying to imitate her. will try to finish it this weekend........

well, thank you very much for you kind words,
from the posted image of the butterfly quilt, I did 'take it apart' on the graph paper down to strip piecing and all, was quite proud of myself doing it and it worked. Today got fabric for backing and cotton batting at LQS. I know it cost a bit more then buying from the web but the backing fabric has white on white butterflies, prefect for this quilt.
I will attempt to quilt it myself (in a ditch) on my old Singer and will post it when I will be done with it.
