Lovely but I can agree, it can be exhausting to design. I love sewing simple pieces together while letting my mind wander.

That's me! Yesterday I tried making bear claw blocks and got so frustrated I gave it up. I know they are a simple 9 patch with hst's but I think my brain was tired from this one so that I didn't even want to mess with it. I think I need some mindless sewing for awhile. Lol!

What a fabulous quilt. I think you are very good at "doing your own thing". Sure it takes a bit longer to figure it out but the results are so worth it and the best part is there is not another quilt out there like it!

It's an attention getter, conversation-starter, and head-stopper (as in people will stop to appreciate all the different parts). But I totally understand the need for mindless sewing for a bit. Don't give up on design, this turned out great. Let us know their reaction. :-)
