I think this is my favorite quilt of yours! Love it. If it were mine I'd name it "50's Fandango". Fandango is a Spanish courtship dance, which the fans/skirts in the border remind me of. Regardless of your choice of names, it is a lovely quilt!

Kalona is a town in Iowa, and Don will be showing his quilts at a quilt museum in Kalona in July. There are some really nice quilt shops in Kalona as well.

I like the way you did the border on this. I also like the name of scrappy 50s

Love the square dance name. I did a lot of square dancing in the 50's. A lot of women wanted to square dance just to be able to make the beautiful dresses. And we swished them around a lot.

OH Don how sweet is that quilt - I just love it. I thought of, lets see if I can spell it, Dosado a square dance term. Can't wait to head down to Kalona:-)

That is the cutest quilt! You were so lucky to find those blocks. You did a wonderful job of arranging them.

Love all your sewing space!

I'm from Ottumwa, IA, and have not heard of Kalona, IA. Wish I could be there for the show since I love all your quilts. How do you quilt? Hand, long-arm or DSM?
