Thanks to everyone who looked.
Bat Ears: I cut out little triangles from Steam-a-Seam backed black fabric. Steamed them down then raw edge quilted over the edges.
Christmas, hmmm, I already have a Christmas quilt layered to quilt. Maybe I can get it done soon.
