Default Facebook question -

I have gotten repeated "friend requests" from people that I have already "friended."

Anyone have an explanation?

I believe they have been hacked. They should change their Facebook password.

This happened to a friend recently. I accidentally accepted the Friend request. Then asked a question on the hacked site and got an answer I knew was incorrect. I immediately deleted the hacked friend, and changed my Facebook password.

I got hacked about 3 months ago. I shut my account down until last week. When I opened a new account I made the longest, hardest password I could come up with. I also went in and did the same with every account I have. I now have a sheet of paper with the wildest passwords ever and I don't think I'll ever remember any of them!

I have a couple of Facebook accounts. One for family, and one for quilting. I limit my quilting to groups, no individual friends. I limit my family to immediate family only mostly to see pics of the grands at sport events, vacations, school, etc. I don't accept any friend requests so have no idea if one is repeated. The groups keep me busy looking at all the quilt pictures and patterns.

this happened to me also, a friend was hacked and then sent me a message about getting gov't grants. I knew it wasn't her and unfriended. I hope she has it sorted out by now.

I do this also. I wish my friends and relatives that are into MLM would keep their business and personal accts separate too.

People do this as a scam, they hack someone's acct, do a friend request even though the person is already a friend to you and when you accept, you've been hacked. I have a friend that this happened too twice, thank goodness, the 2nd time she knew better. She has warned all of her friends

Yes, they have been hacked! Don't ever 're-friend' someone. Email them or call them to find out. They often don't know this has happened until someone calls them and then they can put out an alert to their timeline.
