Always skip the 7/8th measurement..
just cut a full inch up, and then square it to what it should be. good luck!

This is what I do and my seam ripper and I have spent a lot less time together! :lol:

I've had the same issues as you and using 4in rather than 3 7/8" works so much better and they now actually turn out the size I want them to be! Good luck!

I'm from the metro area. The picture is actually the St Croix river. You are looking at Wisconsin in the picture! Absolutely beautiful area! :D

Check your quarter inch seam. 2 7/8 inch squares make 2 inch finished half-square triangles... if not... your 1/4 inch seam is likely the culprit.
