That is really neat arrangement (and colors) for a Jewel Box quilt. The pattern I have makes the four patch areas more prominent. Beautiful.

Maybe you could make either a foot of the bed runner or a table runner using the black background, or even just a pillow. Give it a try! If you really don't like the look - make it a pin cushion. Go for it, soozieQ!

I agree with Sandra in Minnesota, and not only is it harder to sew, but it will start to fade almost immediately. White is timeless. Very pretty quilt!

Made some quilts with black or very dark as background. I like the look of the white with these jewel colors. So summery and breezy and fresh looking.
