    Too bad the one from amazon is only battery powered. I would also like one with buttons but don't want to keep buying batteries for it.

    After reading further, found you can buy an adapter, but reviews aren't really good for this radio.

    I have radio that plays CDs, however the CD player died just 1 day after the warranty period was up. So I have a radio now. grrrrr

    There are others. I think the key is to do a search on "radio with presets". Found this one at Walmart:

    My husband collects antique radios. Most of them don't actually work unless they've been restored, and even then they may not work for long. So always test the radio before you buy.

    Watson, in the review I read (read all) one person said she had had one for years (?) and used it many hours a day. Had yet to need to replace the batteries! Will be fine for my sewing area.

    Default Update to radio with push button tuning.

    The Tecsun from Amazon. It came already, its working and its just what I wanted! Only one speaker but it does have good sound with adjustable tone. Also shows the time! Yippee!
