Virtual Quilitng Weekend--September 1-4, 2017

Macybaby, totally stunning.
My change horses in the middle of the stream projects never turn out like that. Have you ever tried to change horses in the middle of a stream? Well, I tried it and the horses became quite frightened and I almost ended up in the stream. As it was I was on an endurance ride and my horse (Spot) yes, that was his name, I think tripped over a submerged log in a lake we were trying to cross. Now I am older, rarely leave town.

Thought I would be traveling this weekend but arrived so I will work in projects.
Finished the extra cherries needleturn appliqué on Bee Happy quilt by Lori Holt I just started.
Working on three other blocks today & tomorrow. Picture won't load, going to look for help on site to resize.
Liked peacock, Christmases, and 4 patch posies!

Giquilg, if you have a smart phone # 6, you have to scroll down a little and you can see "resize" written in red. At least it is that way on my phone. Then it gives you three choices, and I choose the smallest which is 10%. Then it seems to behave much better. Then I send it to myself and it shows up on my desk top and I save it as an attachment. From there I have no idea where it goes, but I can write down the number, 6 digits, of what it is and then I can retrieve it by typing in the date and scrolling down to the bottom.

I love virtual quilting weekends with three days. So much fun. I've been cutting fabric to make more hexies for my current quilt top project.

I also made this skirt to wear hanging around the house from this fun Tula Pink design.

My friend's star quilt is as far as i can get it, until she decides on borders and I get the fabric from her. So, on to my next project - will it be 150 Canadian Women (I'm almost 100 blocks behind) or the new PEI Modern Guild mystery step 1? Or the block I need to make this month for Block Party? Decisions, decisions...

Let's see if I can post a pic from my new computer... I used Google Photos to share from my phone to my PC. Hey, it worked!
This is the vintage machine I got from my sister yesterday. Needs some cleaning and new wiring on the light (at least) but everything moves freely so I am confident it will sew again soon.

Love all the pictures. Lot's of work going on.
In this neck of the woods, the forest fires' smoke and the heat has zapped my energy. Not making much progress. Am trying to catch up on the bom challenge. Have 2 more to go. Samplers take a long time because all the pieces and fabrics are chosen and cut for only 1 block. Haven't done a sampler in 20+years, but these blocks look interesting. Pictures later.

Take care of yourself with the smoke. I haven't really been outside in about 3 days.
