Very Pretty Quilt - I love Hand Quilting...it is so relaxing - at least it is for me - and you save money this way too....

Lovely quilt. I especially enjoy seeing traditional patterns that are hand quilted. Just perfect combination of elements.

Thanks. I think I'm just going to outline quilt the Dresdens. I'm really not sure about the sashing and cornerstones. I'm thinking some kinds of feathers though, since every quilt needs feathers. A flower would go nicely in the cornerstones. I'm thinking orange peels in the background of the squares. Hah, this is going to take me ages to finish, but if this site still exists or the earth is still spinning when I'm done, I'd be glad to post a picture. :-)

Thanks! Wow, an antique Dresden Plate quilt; somebody loves you. I bet it is beautiful. I wouldn't use it either, so good choice, to make your own.

Thanks Linda. It will be a very long time before I can call it finished. Re: that table, I used to have a half round table like the one you're talking about, but this is actually oval shaped. It belonged to my husband's grandmother and is very old. He used to call it the trolley table because he used to play trains beneath it when he was a boy.

Thanks so much for all the kind words. I can't wait to see this quilt finished either, but I suspect that is going to take a very long time. I appreciate all the lovely comments.
