Default Challenge Quilt

I made this for challenge. It is 39 X 39 inches. I made the background of frames, quilted that, and appliqued the flowers and embellished them at the end. I used a facing instead of binding. Appliqueing after quilting was awkward, but I wasn't sure of a way to do otherwise. Won't win anything due to the extreme level of talent of the other entrants. It is the first time I have done something like this, and I think it was somewhat successful. You can't see it, but the accent color is plum. I used it in each flower.

WOW! That is fantastic!! Don't sell yourself short: the contrast, color choice and use of space is wonderful - I can not believe that it is not ribbon worthy!

Very pretty wall hanging. What was the challenge for this piece?

This is such a beautiful, modern quilt. Your competition must be very stiff!

Your composition of frames alone is terrific, your interesting black and white patterns and various sizes. The flowers really ramp it up and make it a terrific modern quilt. The quality is exceptional, whether you receive a ribbon or not!
