It is all machine applique. It takes a little bit of practice, and I still haven't learned how to do it perfect, but it is fine. You should try it. Also, the curves and corners on the elephants are not close together or too sharp so it is easy.

I have wanted to make this quilt since the first time I saw it, I just think they are adorable. I really like the colors you used on this one. I have a few charm packs that I thought would work well with this pattern.

Okay Juliea, I am going to PM you since you are now a pro at this pattern. My darling DIL sent me the pattern and all of the fabric she picked for this pattern but I have been procrastinating since I have not done much applique and can’t decide if I want to do turn or raw edge. Your quilt is precious and I love the colors you chose for this one.

I love it! I just started this quilt myself-only have mama elephant done- and was trying to see how you quilted yours. Is it crosshatch? You did a great job!

Yes it is crosshatch. I quilted the first ones I made using diagonal lines and decided to crosshatch this one. I will use the crosshatch on any future ones I do. I like it better.
