"Idle Hour" isn't a common brand name like Singer. Taking an educated guess it may be a post WW2 Japanese made machine. If it is, there may be similar machines with different name badges that have a manual available online. Posting a picture would help greatly to identify the machine or one of it's clones.

Nope. Brother didn't tend to get so fancy schmancy lol. I love the looks of this one though. I've seen machines that look like this on FB in the group "Vintage Sewing Machines(Non Singer)". They have tons of manuals and a photo reference file so you can look it up by looks instead of the name. In the 50s and 60s, even later, Japanese machines would often be sold with many names put on the same model.

You may have better luck finding a manual if you can identify the crown with a v logo on the stich length knob or the badge under the stitch length knob. Try this thread Vintage Japanese 'Badged' Zig Zag and Straight Sew Sewing Machines
She's a pretty machine and would be easy to figure out without a manual.
