Susan - I just love this type of quilt but it scares the hoo hoo out of me. I did, purchase the acrylic templates last March at the AQS Lancaster show and that's about it. I do have both the Millifiori books but choosing the fabrics is where the willies start. My colorbox doesn't include anything like these fabrics and I just don't know where to start. Just wondering if I could use other types of fabrics - like maybe wild Batiks, etc. - would it look even reasonable? I've done EPP so that is not any problem - just where to start with the fabrics. Any hints?

Sandy in Mooresville, NC - please send some rain!!!

Beautiful! They remind me of the crocheted doilies my grandma used to make.

Just in case you don’t know - there is millefiori book #3 available by Willyne Hammerstein. I just purchased it yesterday at a local quilt show and haven’t looked at it yet. I stack new magazines and books on my coffee table and like to read them as I get them (very OCD I know&#128516. This one is trying to slither up nearer the top and just might make it very soon! I do have the acrylic templates but haven’t purchased the paper pieces - yet. But will eventually.
