Bonnies quilts are busy, they have primary, secondary, and tertiary patterns, that is what makes them interesting. She adds another layer to that in that she does all scrappy. She always gives instructions for those who don't want to do scrappy. I think scrappy is much more complicated to get to look good, I've done several of her quilts and have always done yardage. I have always chosen my own colors, but if you do that it is best to read her comments about the colors she chose, you can get clues to help decide what colors you may want to substitute. Her individual pieces are not complicated they are basic quilting units, however they are smaller then most quilters are used to using, and there are LOTS of them. It is not uncommon to make 250 hst in a week or 180 four square blocks that finish 3 inches.

I am happy to say that mine has been quilted and gifted to a very special person. I couldn't add any more borders because it wouldn't fit on my queen quilt frame. I just quilted with a panto design. This has been a wonderful adventure and I thank each and everyone of you for this informative journey. Until the next one

Thanks for all your great comments. I am short about 20 neutral 4 patches and then it is done....except to quilt. I think I'll do the same thing as Tweety2911. And it may have to wait a while. I"m tired of looking at it.

Well, at least it didn't take an entire year, that was my goal, LOL! The quilting isn't perfect, but I am very pleased with it. It was my first time machine quilting feathers free-hand. She's done at last and now I feel like I can happily join in the next mystery without this being a UFO. I'm ready!
