I only wash fabrics and quilts with Tide Coldwater liquid detergent and color catchers. I just use the washable Crayola markers, always washes out. Even pre washing all my fabrics just certain colors still bleed sometimes. I buy fabrics mainly from Hobby Lobby and Walmart and have very good results. I usually use 3 or 4 color catchers, using them until they start falling apart.

I had one Crayola marker (orange) that did not completely wash out...used a little Spray n Wash and washed it again. Poof! All gone.

NZ- Dawn takes out a lot of stuff. Maybe rub some in and then let in soak in a pail or some container.

My mistake was not testing. I just assumed since everyone else had great luck, so would I.
Try washing it when you are done. It should come out, but I have found it needs a little soap, not just water.

I haven't rewashed the red quilt, but plan on using orvus and color catchers the second time around.
What is orvus?
