AnnT has just posted our little quilts here. Does someone know how to move them to the picture thread? Anyway, Chele has put them on the other just picture posting here:

That's one thing I have figured out, 'cut' and 'paste'. :-) We older folks didn't take computers in school, they weren't invented then. :-( In fact, I remember when calculators came out and they cost $100.00 or more!!!! :-( :-( Boy!!! does that show my age!!!!!

I was matched with Linda -laparshall and since we only live about 2hrs away from each other we decided to get together on Sunday and swap our quilts. We had a great time, I got to see her sewing room and we went to Country Stitches and had fun quilt shopping together and went to lunch. What a great way to exchange quilts.
The pictures attached to this message are the quilt that Linda made for me. It is of the Cascade Falls in Jackson MI. If you see pictures of the falls it looks just like them. She did a great job on this little quilt. I love it and it is going to hang in my living room.

Oh yeah I forgot to tell about the back of the quilt it has chocolate on the back because there is a little shop in Jackson that still makes hand dipped chocolates, which Linda gave me some of these and they were delicious!! Thanks Linda

The following pictures are of the quilt I made for Linda. I did an I spy with all of the things that remind me of michigan. And the back of my quilt was a piece of fabric that has all the states on it.

Darling little quilts. I envy you being able to get together to swap quilts. That would be so neat. As a former Michigander, I get warm feelings when I see the Michigan quilts and hear about what's going on there. Memories...... :) :) :)

These are fantastic, Michgan ladies. It sounds like you had a wonderful time of sharing and exchange. I envy you. My partner lived in Canada....hmm perhaps we should have done the same  What do you think Overlander???

I had 2 partners, one in TN, and the other in Japan. Now wouldn't that make for interesting travel?!??!!

Janis,
Both places are fabulous and I love them. Have you been to either?

I've been to TN, but the farthest west I've been is either California or Washington. I went to Switzerland and Germany once, but that was the other way. It's my son who is the world traveler. He brings me collector spoons of his travels. I haven't gotten him convinced that he needs to bring fabric too.
