Bernina part or accessory?
Does anyone know what this is?
And what it is for?
It has BERNINA stamped on one side and it is about 8 inches long.
There is a sticker with "33301804" on one end of the box, and I think the price was $12.25 - whenever it was purchased.

Your part is called ‘Bernina circular embroidery attachment‘
When I purchased my new 930 in 1986 this attachment was included.
For use with the Embroidery Foot #030 or the Open Embroidery Foot #147
(the numbers referred to are etched into the feet that came with my 930)
Nina McVeigh posted a youtube video for a later model of this attachment at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOIxMVWhU2w . It is used the same as the one in your photo/
It’s been years since I’ve used it back then I had fun making crafty things like Xmas stockings and embroidery on all sorts of things i.e., pillowcases, placemats, lingerie etc. It’s easy to set up and can be used with all of the decorative stitches on the Bernina 930 Record machine. Not sure but it will probably work with the 830 and 1130 machines as well (that’s the vintage circa 1977 830 – not the new computerized 830)
I have the instruction sheet that came with my binder from the dealer when I purchased my machine… it gives the settings and has a couple of drawings that make it clear how to set it up…easy.
Send me your address or email and I will send you a copy of that sheet (no cost)
Just FYI, it’s value is all over the map online from $50. to $100.

How strange, I purchased my 930 Record in 1985 new and this accessory was not in my attachments. I still have the machine and all of the attachments in the original box plus several feet and other attachments I have purchased since. I love this machine and use it all the time, I would never trade it in. I have other machines but my 930 and my FW's are my favorites.I think I will check and see if this part is still available for my 930.

I looked in the binder and there were instructions in there. Pretty simple - but I was not able to figure it out by myself.
