I really like the blue one (my favorite color)...but I've never seen one made like this before. Was it hard?

It really wasn't that difficult but I did follow the patterns suggestion and used batiks for setting the diamonds so I didn't have to deal with an obvious "right side/back side" of the fabrics. I'm quite certain that was the key to making it easier.
