Default Question regarding Westalee rotating Circles on Quilts longarm tool

I was wondering if anyone else is having issues with this longarm ruler - I am using a HandiQuilter Fusion and have no problem with the smaller of the circles or fans - but when stitching the 10 and 12 inch sizes on this ruler the stabilizer pin wants to catch on the front of the ruler base... I have checked to see if there is an extended version of the base, but have not found one. If any of you have found a solution I would greatly appreciate and information. Thanks in advance.

I don't have these rulers so am not sure of how the pin looks on the back. Is there a sharp pin point that you may be able to file off a little if it's too long, or maybe stick a round band-aid/plaster on the back to cover the point or whatever.

Here is the kicker...the sharp end goes up...and yes I have stuck myself. I am trying to come up with a fix...the tool is designed to do a great job - it just catches the front edge of the ruler base.. I can't find an email for the company itself. Thank you for your response - guess we will have to stay tuned and see what else comes up...

I have the rotating circles on quilts and have used it on my HQ Avante'. The tack wants to catch in the space between the ruler base and needle plate, so I cut a squarish hole in a piece of cardstock and taped it over the space.

If it's catching on the outside of the ruler base, can you extend the ruler base by taping cardstock so it's larger than the ruler base? ...so it flops outside ...same concept as the glide foot?

Thank you for the suggestions... I will be doing some modifying to the base today. I like the ruler - so I will go the extra steps to make it work. I appreciate your input. Thanks!

Old info from a Pfaff 1471 help group.

Stick a thumbtack through a tape like carpenters' or drafting and tape the thumbtack down with pointed end up.

Used for stitching fancy stitches in circles.
