Default Slippery Surface for FMQ

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I came across this idea from a Facebook Group I am on. They are not selling this item nor am I. Mine came yesterday. I cut a hole for the needle and taped it on one side and I have to say it is better than my Supreme Slider, the oven slippery thing I used, and the big piece of vinyl I tossed because I didn't like it.

I understand these are available in stores too in case anyone doesn't want to use Amazon.

Oh gosh I just started a new thread with this!!!! Maybe admin can merge, delete mine, etc. I got one and it is great. There is big enough surface to cover all the places in the table where the machine sits and then some. Quilt really slides around well. Very happy with it so far.

That's a great price compared to the other sliders available. I also saw this video showing how to put 2 of them together.

Which brand did y'all get? Some of these look like the edges curl up?

I got that blue one from Amazon and it came rolled up but is perfectly flat now.

Beware of the ones that have a thin layer of foam where you sit. That was what I was able to find locally, the bottom is the slippery plastic, but the top has the foam. It is too thick and I can not get good clearance with my ruler foot. I was happy to save on shipping but ended up wasting my money

Mine does not have any foam at all. Just slick plastic.

I think it's funny that the Amazon listing, where it shows items frequently bought with the sled - it's a good mix of things like snowball makers and Machinger gloves, LOL. Obviously the word is out among the quilters!

I did end up pealing the foam backing off of mine. It was a hassle to do, but it now works fine on my machine. I guess this is what comes from being too cheap to pay the shipping - LOL!

My gosh, I've got these from when the kids were little rolled up in the garage. Seeing as I tore a hole in my SuperSlider, I may be giving this a go! Thanks.

Watson

PS..are people taping these down? The lady in the video doesn't...Maybe she says to. I am at work so can't listen to the sound.
