I love the way it ties around the critter. My guild makes small bags, quilts and adds a critter to the bag for our local sheriff, fire and police department and also a group that serves as liason between the courts and kids who have been abused (physically or sexually). We give them to these groups twice a year. Good on you.

But often the kids are removed from their homes without anything and the police give the bag, quilt and critter and ask them to look after the critter. It helps them to have something to hold on to during the process.

Oh, how sweet. I'm going to remember this, as I've been wanting to make quilts for kids to give my social worker friend. By the time she is called, most of the kids are at the point of sitting in a wet or soiled diaper, not enough clothing, no toys.
I have two nephews who are policemen. I bet I could pass some of these lovies their way to keep in their patrol cars.
The tie for the quilt to keep the critter warm is adorable. Thank you for inspiring me with your work. (Play?)
