.....more questions on OP....did you use 6 strand floss or the spools of twisted emb thread...don't know what that's called...what size..I do know they come in various numerical sizes.... I have a considerable amount of 6 strand from when I did cross stitching.....might be able to put a dent in it!

those who do machine emb stitches...back with muslin or stabilizer..I know that the machine emb stitches tend to pucker, or maybe I am doing it wrong.....

i did do a crazy quilt, bed size, a few years ago but without embellishment or emb stitches at seams and I used muslin for backing..it was fun. But I want to do a 'Fancy' one now.....hopefully!

I love a project that allows you to add things when you find something perfect that you have to have. This is that perfect project. You really did a wonderful job!

I used mostly regular floss. They have more colors and shades than the balls of either the #10, #8 or the #5 threads. But, I will use most any kind of thread. The lady on Pintangle uses 3-5 pieces of lace per block. Lots of different types of embroidery, some silk ribbon and 8-11 buttons per block.
