5Pints, I like your fabrics. I like the bigger scale print as well. I find blocks with a bigger print sometimes add visual interest for the smaller prints. I know I used some in the blocks for my own quilt.

Thanks, Judith! I found the purple fabric to be my favorite so far. I played around with the larger scale fabric last night and I think it looks alright. It is not so large that you can't see the designs. I think the picture I posted is somewhat deceptive. The fabric is cut into 5" blocks.

Nice fabric choices, Zozee -- I'm partial to the floral piece right of the purple. But they are all lovely.
Just wanted to check in. I won't start sewing until mid to late December but am following the thread to see what folks are up to.

5pints - I may be one of the only ones who know where Olney is! I lived in Anson thru my Freshman year in high school. I played basketball and volleyball and we traveled to Olney for a tournament - I think it was basketball.Big city living! We then moved farther west to Andrews area - but I was born in Abilene. Makes me look back to good memories.

Belfry may know - think she is from the Abilene area.

I have ordered a rubber stamp and have some avery labels. The rubber stamp is supposed to be in the end of this week. They could have built a bridge in this amount of time. It will be similar to the address label with sticky on the back. If that is not ok, say so. If your name is Armylady, I need not tell you what to do. (am chuckling to myself),

Question: should I tell you that I will make 5 sets now, what if I don't? I have two sets completed now and I have plenty of fabric to make more. I'm causing you a lot of consternation.

My broken tail bone hurts less today than yesterday.

Marcia

Marcia (Battle Axe) it sounds like you have the labeling figured out. I will put you down for 5 sets but I will not hold it against you if you can't do all 5, I know from experience that life sometimes get in the way.

Okay, I'm in, if you let me, Armylady. All the pretty fabric called me to this swap! Sending PM for 5 sets of four blocks per set, plus 1 backup block. Will post fabric after I organize them. This will be so much fun & have plenty of time after the holidays to get 'er done & mailed. Thanks for giving extra time for this wonderful project!
hugs,
dj
