I never was attached to a quilt that much to take out quilting of the whole thing. I'd leave it or cut it up for other projects.

Oh, your not the only one! I was quilting a queen size quilt earlier this year but the quilting wasn't turning out the way I wanted. I was silly and kept going, think it would get better the further I went. I was just over half done when I asked my DH if he minded it. He said, to quote: " Well, if you don't intent to show anyone, it's okay." He was honest I spent the next week unpicking the whole thing. But now that it is complete I'm glad my husband was honest. It was worth it.

Not in a quilt, but yesterday I did a marathon session of making boxy bags. The last one, really pretty and glitzy and gorgeous, for one of my best friends....has the zipper installed backward/inside out. I do not know how I didn't notice it. Thinking I should not have started it at 1:30 A.M.!! So you are not alone.

I have some unsewing to do. The backing folded back and got caught in the quilting near the edge. I do not like to stitch around a quilt sandwich before I quilt it, but if this keeps happening, I may change my mind. This particular quilt has an extra layer of batting under the center which was another mistake - too thick and shifts too easily. I've unsewed it once. Now to requilt it

SusieQOH, those look lethal!
If you can ever find eyebrow trimmers, they work great and they are cheap and safe.

Leonf- you never showed us until now what a fashion plate you are!!!

This thread has made me remember another. I shortened the same pant leg twice. Now when I have to shorten pants, I cut both at the same time. Luckily, they were for me, which I rarely have to do. It would have hard to explain to a paying customer.

When I got my HV Mega Quilter a few years ago I quilted a King size quilt, got it off the frame, looked at the back, screamed a few words, and it took my a few more month to unquilt it, that was a good lesson, always check your back after a few stitches!!!!

Yes. You are not alone. But I look at it as a 'learning opportunity'. I learned not to do that again.
