Lynnie, 1983- the music is fantastic! Whoever did the casting for that movie was spot on. It's really good. I didn't see it when it came out but a friend of mine told me about it and I got the VHS, then later on the DVD. I watch it at least once a year!

I watch this movie a lot. Just watched it a couple of weeks ago, in fact. One of my fav's of the 80's and the actors in it. Fabulous!

Ha ha! In '83, I thought I was "old" Little did I know, back then! We'll have to try to catch that movie -I'm afraid I missed a lot of good movies during my "busy" years.

Kevin Costner was originally in the movie too. He was cast as the friend who died but his role was cut from the movie. I love watching several movies each year: The Postman, The Patriots and Tombstone.

I love that one! One of the best soundtracks ever. We bought the soundtrack right after seeing the movie ans played it over and over and over again.

I re-watch good movies all the time. Good ones I can watch over and over, bad ones I can't watch once!

I watch my favorite movies enough that I usually can say the dialogue with the actors. I've seen "Mrs. Miniver" often enough that now I'm putting on the French track. I can still keep up with what's going on. Another of my favorites is "Hatari" with John Wayne. It's fun watching and hearing him speak French or Spanish. I wish I could find modern movies that I enjoyed as much as I like the older ones. The older ones have become such good friends.

Mrs. Miniver is a wonderful one!!! Another old one I love is I Remember Mama with Irene Dunne. The first time I saw it was with my Mom and we cried buckets. It's such a heartwarming story.
That's another one I have to watch once a year!!!

Love old movies! Soooooo hooked on HMark Christmas movies right now! I'm an oldie (age-wise) but don't like just "any" old movie. There may not be many of you out there near my age . . . but I loved Spencer Tracy. Have seen "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" so many times I can just about say the dialogue with them. But wanted to mention a Spencer Tracy movie I saw in the fall on TMC. It starred he and Lana Turner (a gal I also loved). The movie is called "Cass Timberlane". I thought it wonderful! If you like old movies . . . watch for it . . . a great story!
