I just wanted to take a moment to wish every one of my birthday swap partners a very happy holidays and may you enjoy all your celebrations with family and friends.

Due to weather hubby and I will not be going out of town as planned to visit family; however, with having three days off work and no other concrete plans I am hoping to get a lot of sewing done and have a very low key/low stress holiday with just hubby and the 4 legged children; 2 dogs and 1 cat.

I also am planning a quiet holiday. Saturday traveling north an hour for celebrating with my nieces, nephews and family then Sunday, my son and wife are coming to me for dinner and casual conversation. Christmas day I plan on a crock pot of potato corn chowder and a good book! I am sure an old movie and some hand quilting will finish off my day. Other years this being alone would have bothered me tremendously but I am most content with a solitary Christmas, this year any way.

Merry Christmas to all on of the "swappers" and my your day be a day of remembering the reason we gather, gift and celebrate. Blessings to all of you.

Miz Melly, your package of treats went in the mail on....Monday or Tuesday this week. Brain is a little over worked and can't recall which day. End of the semester for me and my students. We all get a little intense in the end. None the less, you envelop should be coming before Christmas. Fingers crossed of course.

Hi Teach! Boy do I remember those days! Once the semester ended, we staff would all just sit and stare at each other and hope we'd get early release the last day before the break. One depressing thing, we'd have to take down all the holiday decorations before closing up for winter break (we weren't allowed to call it Christmas Break, or Holiday Break). Yep, starting back on January 2nd was also depressing too after being off for a week.
I'm SO glad that I'm done with that!!
Enjoy your relaxing holiday!! I'm still hanging in there waiting to see if I am actually going to be celebrating with my friends, they tend to wait til the very last minute to announce when and where we are gathering!
