You nailed it. Me too! An escape of sorts......I am debating on adding the bay floor and ceiling......thoughts? I kind of like the floating window myself. I will audition the fabric first...

Did you make this pattern up yourself? If you did will you share it please? If you didn't where can I find it please.
You should do a tutorial on this pattern. Your quilt is beatiful

I love to play with attic window techiques. I posted a tutorial on this Board on how to make the mitered corners.

I did make this up without a pattern.

I don’t specify the widths on the window panes,....that is up to the maker to determined using personal judgement and their preference of wide vs narrower “wood” panes. I don’t care for MO Stars multiple panes because it does not show off the window fabric design. All I see are the small windows...too distractin for me. I want to see the scene. I let the fabric inspire me.

I used a directional, continuous, print. 1.5 yards approx.

This, like all of my attic window blocks/projects...are assembled vertically. I used the diagonal markings on my 6 X 24 ruler to determin the angle pleasing to my eye. Then I made a cardboard template of the degree of the angle and width of the vertical pane desired.

I hope that my quicky overview inspires others to give this a try. We all create ...

Thank you...I want to put a silhouette of my corgi in the woods as a memorial my beautiful boy who I lost in Sept. still hurts when I think of him...which is daily. Kind of a rainbow bridge memorial.
