    Check out the links above to Leah Day. She explains how to modify a hopping (spring action) foot so it doesn't hop any more.

    Thanks all! I'm so glad I complained to my friend LOL ... it turned out for the best for me, and I was able to share a better method (hopefully) for other people - so nice to know I wasn't the only one struggling with the spring action!
