Ninnie, if you ever come to visit me, you have to bring Mortimer! I love him. Your DH can come too.

My dog weighs 45 lbs and takes up DH's entire lap - don't see how Mortimer does it.

My husband thinks he gets too hot when our boy cat sleeps on his lap! Wait until he sees these neat pictures. Thanks.

Looks about right. Grizzly, 80 lbs., also thinks he is a lap dog.
We never tried to tell him any different. LOL

I have two actually and both are Borzoi. Hunter is my Avatar and his "sister" isn't quite as heavy but thinks she can still lie in my lap as well.

Hunter was such an adorable puppy at 12 weeks I would pick him up to cuddle. Now at over 100 lbs, he's a bit large for the complete cuddle but loves to get as far in my more then ample lap as he can.

Love your Dane, beautiful dog with soul that jumps off the picture.

Yes we have a Shih Tzu male dog and he will be 7 years old in April. We got him on March 15, 2009 and he was already trained, tricks the works. He is such a good dog and gives us company.

We were not lucky to have children so he is our baby and yes he is spoiled. This makes our 3rd dog. The other 2 died years ago and we decided to get another dog.

Hubby was like- is that a quilt he has? I want a quilt- he has a quilt. And then- what kind of dog is he?

Nice lap dog- we have 2- beagle and pug. Both combined are not as big as Mortimer. :)

This cracked me up! We have 2 pomeranians, and they are true lap dogs... their weight COMBINED is less than 10 pounds. Too funny.
