    Use a rubber band. A lot quicker! If it folds flat, a bread tie will work, too. (Of course, you have to keep track of these items when using the tape measure but perhaps you have an extra supply to go to.)

    I roll mine up after use. It only takes a few seconds. Just a habit it guess.

    Be careful with the tape measures, most of them will stretch and then you won't get a correct measurement. I just put them in a small snack zip lock or hang them up.
