    I read your response, and my first thought was “city girl” then I saw you are from Texas, where there are no bears. Lol.
    I have never wanted to “pet” a bear. (I grew up in the mountains and woods of Washington state where there ARE bears) lol. This bear does look like he is standing in a sunbeam. Their fur glows multicolored in the sun. ( I saw a bearskin in the sun once, not on a breathing bear.) fabulous quilt. Love the style.
