I think I get the prize for not reading the directions as carefully as I should -

I cut 96 triangles of bold prints, 48 triangles of neutrals, and 48 triangles of solids. I was thinking I'd use the solids in place of the constant.

So now to decide if I want to toss the 96 bold into my stuffed full tote of triangles (they are mostly smaller than this size) and cut more, or sew them up and hope for the best.

I only cut two of each color for the solids, and can easily cut another group. I have a lot of solid scraps from my rainbow quilt. Though I have no idea what color to use for a constant -

I'll sleep on it and decide what to do tomorrow.

Thank you for doing this, Judy. I did one of your mysteries many train rides ago. Then life got in the way. This mystery has given me a much need impetus to get back to quilting again, I had a great day sorting scraps today.

dumb question...do we spin the seams with the QSTs the same way we do with the 4 patches?

Now, a request for the future. I love big, bold prints. Kaffe, etc. Could you do one with big focus fabrics?
Thank you. Your work is so appreciated!!
I know that's what you like, Dotty, but I have to work out of my stash, which is not very exciting. I have a couple big bold prints but nothing to go with them! Sorry to disappoint you and all the others who love these fabrics.

So gratifying to see all the interest in another mystery, when this one is still going on! Love the support from all of you. Now, if I could find a way to make a living out of doing this .... Nah, it's way too much fun this way. The other way would be WORK - ugh! I'm retired, not interested in another job.

Thanks for the second clue Judy. Just a quick question did you use the same fabrics for the QST's as you did in the 4 patch blocks or did you use different fabrics so that there will be no repeats or two together when sewn?

Oh, yes, oh definitely yes, no doubt in my mine, yes. Yes i’m In for another mystery train ride. Did I say yes? LOL Judy I so enjoy your mysteries. Thank-you very much. To answer your question I enjoy making the squares you mention for the new project. Now back to my scraps and sewing. Again thank-you.

Judy, I'm all for the HST new mystery. Love 'em! I'd really love it if they're out of charms!

Macybaby...don't feel bad. I had to study the instructions like I was cramming for my last University Exam, before I finally got it.
Or at least, I think I've got it.
