Your house is just adorable. So glad you are back into sewing after your flooding incident. So awful for so many.

That is so adorable. So sorry to hear about your water soaked machine. You are very creative.

The little house pincushion is so pretty. I like all the fabrics and trim you used. Love the flowers at the window.

Thanks everyone, you're all so sweet! It took me a few days to do the pin cushion, some of that because I redid some of the pieces, mismeasured when trimming and had to remake a piece (the usual lol), but I did enjoy doing it.

I replaced the small Janome with a Brother sewing and quilting machine, I didn't think I should spend much at all on a replacement with all the expenses we incurred after the flood but this one came with an extension table, a walking and hopping foot, the needle can be moved left or right - I thought it was a good deal and I like it a lot, I call it my woo-woo machine because that's what it sounds like when sewing at a slow speed.

We are back in the house and everything is about finished, the garage still smells unlovely but with all the rain we've had lately I haven't been able to scrub it down yet, but will get to it soonly.

Oh, if you click on the 'Show More' under the description below the video it has the link to the pattern.

I'd love to see pics if anyone else makes this pin cushion, it's a fun project that you can get creative with. Since I didn't look at the pattern I don't know what she used to back the fabric, fusible foam maybe? I just used Hobbs 80/20 with muslin as the backing and put small pieces of cardboard along the insides before stuffing so it didn't become a puffball. I did add a backing to the underside of the roof when I bound it and stuffed it so I wouldn't be fighting stuffing above the side when hand sewing the last seam. Sorry for running off at the mouth with all the details. lol

As a pin cushion collector I say ...it’s great. Just sewed myself the
“ Quilt Police Doll” pincushion. Had the fabric panel for few yrs then lost it
but managed to find who sold them...so now I bought 2.
